HELL TREPANNER is releasing its debut full-length album ‘The Consecration of Eternal Impurity’ on March 20, 2026 by Awakening Records.
Emerging in 2015 from the Pacific coast of South America in Lima, Peru, the hellish trio HELL TREPANNER serves up uncompromising old school death metal. The band name implicates menacing music that pierces through bone—straight into the skull and brain.
Featuring bassist/vocalist Max Necromanza, drummer Manolo Agressor, and guitarist Neil Destruktor, the Peruvian extreme metal band delivers a cavernous and bestial sound consisting of frenetic riffs, surging dive-bomb whammy bar attacks, relentless blast beats, and barbaric guttural vocals.
Inspired by lyrical themes of blasphemy, desecration, malevolence, and death, HELL TREPANNER creates turbulent and brutal compositions. Following the one-plus minute intro, “Profane Sacramentum,” HELL TREPANNER explodes with the first song proper, “Supremacy of Obscurity.” The raw and scathing sonority is a typical trait of South American death metal, with tempo changes and transitional riffs dictating the pace throughout the five-plus minute track. From there, tracks such as “Blaspheming in Primordial Tongues,” “From Perpetual Catacombs,” and “Barbaric Desecrator,” complete ‘The Consecration of Eternal Impurity’s ritualistic tone.
The album was recorded at Dragon Verde Studios and mixed and mastered at Sounds of Perseverance Studios, forging a rotted sound that is thick and gritty. “For this full-length, we demanded a pro-tier sound that matched the weight of the production,” Necromanza explains. “We chose Dragon Verde because it’s arguably the best studio in Lima; high-end gear, total focus, and constant guidance. This allowed us to lock in and execute our instruments with total precision, ensuring the result was potent, natural, and possessed a bestial, overwhelming heaviness.”
On signing with Awakening Records: “We have nothing but respect for Li Meng and Awakening Records,” Necromanza admits. “The offer caught us by surprise at first. I think he contacted us years ago during the pandemic, but we were focused on the previous EP then. By a twist of fate—and through Thrashirts—the deal was sealed to collaborate on this release. Since this is our debut, it’s a massive milestone for us. There will always be a special bond there because they chose to bet on us to proudly represent South American Metal. We’re dying to get the physical slabs in our hands to blast them from start to finish.”
On what lies ahead for HELL TREPANNER: “The next move is to spread this plague across all media and lock in editions on vinyl and cassette,” Necromanza states. “We’re also planning to tour—first within Peru, then hitting every country we can. And why the hell not? A tour in China, a land of ancient, ancestral culture. Bringing our sonic power to the stage in the country where the debut album was unleashed would be an incredible experience.”
